Yes the Millenium had 5.1. Being an enemy of the practice of remixing, i've never listened to it!

I saved this new Weinstein DVD for Halloween night and the picture is STUNNING!

Finally watched the feature film the other night and the transfer is stunning! I still like to pop in an old beat up VHS of this movie but it is nice to see it in all it's glory. Crystal clear and sharp images.

Oh, and not that it bothered me so much, but has anyone else had issue with the 5.1 track on this release? I can't find it. It says 5.1 on the back of the box, but my reciever is decoding it as 2.0.

I was really dragging my feet on this- don't like to double-dip on general principle. But I got it and the transfer is awesome. Completely worth it for me. I've seen this film countless times and while it wasn't like watching a brand new film or anything, nothing distracted me from the experience. And the doc IS pretty great.

Without even having to queue up the White Zombie disc, if it's the transfer done for laserdisc, it could definitely look a lot better. Tech has changed so much in 15 years.

I would prefer a WHite Zombie with better sound. In places, the Roan is very hard to make out. Plus, some dialogue is cut by a splice

Here's the specs (so far) for the Weinsteins' NOTLD dvd, from Dread Central, coming out May 20th. Surprising, in a way, that they'd go this far for something that's PD, but also very respectful of them to do this for George. Guess they want to make the money back on him and DIARY...
