Her face is familiar, but I can't think of my name....

Like most of us, Stephanie grew up watching monster movies on TV...but she doesn't look like any of the monster kids I hung out with! The gal wears a lot of hats (actress, writer, producer, director, etc.)

Taking slight issue with the author, I always understood "nerd" to be an individual possessing bad social skills and worse hygiene, things certainly not applicable to Tim Lucas. "Geek" would seem to be the word for which they were fishing, one who pursues arcane or esoteric interests with a passion. I'd tend to shy away from both terms, though, quasi-insulting as they are. Still, it is better to be talked about than not be talked about at all, as Wilde says.
