As part of a terrific final week of principle photography on Larry Blamire's DARK AND STORMY NIGHT, Bob Burns came in for two days and once again donned his Kogar suit (actually the head was "Tracy" from the GHOSTBUSTERS series, minus the beanie). The last weekend in June, one of my Center for Cartoon Studies students/alumni is co-hosting a cast and partial crew reunion for TROLL 2 (and 35mm theatrical showings of TROLL 2 and related films). It's all happening in Morgan, Utah, where the film was shot in 1989 -- and the then-child actor who played the lead has a documentary in the works on the film, entitled THE BEST WORST MOVIE.

I've been following your website for a while and I thought you could be interested in this short film that I directed last summer for a "film production marathon" held in Italy. The film is a little homage to the classic sci-fi movies from the '50s. It's six minutes long and it won the Jury Prize "for it's creativity and inventiveness in spite of a complete lack of budget".

I don't know if anybody else here knows of Keith Crocker, who has been a DVD/VHS distributor whose posts I used to read on the old Girdler and Brains On Film boards. He made a exploitation film called The Bloody Ape that's not too dissimilar from Night of the Bloody Apoe, but with less luchadores and more apes, but has talked for years of making a Women in Prison/WWII film, and he's finally finished it!

We've just completed work on chapter one of our micro-budget, four chapter homage to classic cliffhangers entitled, "Thirty Second Doom". It's a retro sci-fi adventure based on the Commando Cody character.

More science-fiction than horror, although there are some subtle elements... it's been getting great reviews on the festival circuit. I also worked on this film.
