I came very close to posting this in the Current Films folder because the film ought to receive a wider audience. Not that it's THAT good, but it is so different from standard J-Horror of recent years, it appeals on a number of levels.

Watched this last night after discovering that the American "Quarintine" was a remake of this cool little number. I didn't care for the American film... found the characters too "Hollywood" and laughed out loud several times when clearly this was not the filmmaker's intent. The Spanish "Rec" however was genuinely frightening, the charcters believable and the oft used "hand held camera capturing the action" thing convincing. I recommend this one...

I found myself unexpectedly taking care of a six year-old and a seven-year old the other day and I stumbled upon the Hen's Tooth DVD version of PIPPI LONGSTOCKING IN THE SOUTH SEAS (PIPPI LÅNGSTRUMP PÅ DE SJU HAVEN, 1970) in the local public library. I have fond memories of seeing it on WNEW channel 5 in NYC many many years ago at either Thanksgiving or Xmas time, so I took a chance showing it to the kids, and they really enjoyed themselves.

I've posted this elswhere but no response so far.
I am on a complete Bergman kick right now and am watching ALL his films from the 1944 Torment (He did direct the final scene so I put it in his Director's cannon), up to SARABAND.
I have excellent commercial DVDs of all his early films except Sant Hander Inte Har /THIS CAN'T HAPPEN HERE/HIGH TENSION. I am trying to download a copy with English subs by using Bit Torrent but after weeks of trying I only have 9% of a copy...

Just wanted to get feedback on jean rollin really as iv'e never talked about him in here.

I used to be a different username years ago as wellspacedout but i ran out of films to talk about i guess.

I now have a love for foreign horror as i got into many expolitation films as such from finding an awesome local shop specialising in foreign horror.

So here's my personal account of Jean rollin movies.

Although i find the acting a bit camp at times...

finally had a chance to watch this one yesterday. i like Paul Naschy and his movies can be fun, but this one is a dud to me. Paul Naschy ends up being temporarily cured , but turns into a beefy dr hyde with a top hat three sizes too small. it just doesnt work for me.

Anybody else here a fan of this Fulci classic? Watched this again after a long while, and while it's confusing as all get out (intentionally, from what I understand), it's pretty cool too, and it possible features more eye gouging per minute than any other film in history.

Viruta y Capulina were a pair of low rent comedians, tremendously popular in Mexico and possibly known in some communities in the US.

Their career spanned TV, kid shows, variety shows, soap operas, radio, movies, comics, records as a team effort and after the 70s singly for Capulina.

I remember seeing the 45 single in the Conasupo supermarket for Arturito (R2-D2) during the
