			<description><![CDATA[ Remember how for years the prints of Kong had darkened some of the prints so that you couldn&#39;t see Kong stomping some natives, (And I think showing him
eating a few) with the idea that it would make him more sympathetic? Is there anybody who prefers this bowdlerized version of the film, since it&#39;s the
version that was available for the longest time, or does everybody prefer the full-on savage Kong?

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>Had the traditional Thanksgiving viewing of the 1933 classic, only to notice for the first time that the shackle around Kong&#39;s right wrist vanishes from
his wrist during the attack on the elevated train.  I knew the train sequence was added late in the game, but had never noticed during all these years that
they forgot to put the manacle back on him for that scene.  (I remember a photo of the diorama someone did of Kong attacking the train for the old <em>Famous

I just watched The Rolling Thunder DVD release of it, and jeeze, I can see why Tarantino felt it deserved a re-release. It is pretty darn nuts (and this is
from someone who finds Mothra and the Twin Fairies not the least bit absurd.).

			<description><![CDATA[ As a long time Burroughs fan, I&#39;m anticipating the upcoming (multiple) adaptations of <em>A Princess Of Mars.</em> It occurs to me that the 15-foot tall
great white apes of Barsoom predate Kong by more than 20 years. Although short of Kong&#39;s purported height(s), these creatures are at least within
<em>Mighty Joe Young</em> range. I have never read of any influence of Burroughs on Cooper et al, but it does seem tht Edgar beat everyone to the punch on this

			<description><![CDATA[ After <em>Son Of Kong</em>, I can&#39;t think of many other giant apes that appeared on screen until <em>Mighty Joe Young</em> in the 1950s. There were lots of
regular gorillas, including an animated one in the Max Fleisher <em>Superman</em> cartoon, and a megathereum acting like one in <em>Unknown Island</em>, but I
think this A &amp; C comedy may have featured the next monster-sized primate on screen. It doesn&#39;t do very much, unfortunately, and doesn&#39;t appear
