			<description><![CDATA[ I hadn&#39;t seen this Disney classic in decades, then it popped up on CBC the other night.

I&#39;m not the first to notice, but the horrific elements are pretty intense: A desperate, tearful Pinocchio locked up in Stromboli&#39;s birdcage...the
nightmarish Pleasure Island sequence...Monstro the whale (a great giant monster sequence)...and Pinocchio lying dead (!) in a tidepool .

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve read that &quot;Frankenstein&quot; and the second Flash Gordon serial were released in certain cities on green filmstock.  I&#39;ve also read that
nothing survives of either and that the only reason we know of them is due to the writings of people who saw them (ie George Turner).  What other
movies/serials from the Golden Age were released on colored film, and are any of them available on DVD or the bootleg circuit? ]]></description>

It&#39;s the first showing in 15 years and only it&#39;s second outing on British TV.

Not quite up there with Cat People or I walked with a Zombie, it&#39;s still a neat little thriller with bags of atmosphere.

house beating a very loud drum (or something) trying to unerve a family inside.  I think that the movie starred Oliver Reed, but I&#39;m not completely sure.

I don&#39;t recall the main storyline as much as I do the hook. In this old film (B&amp;W), there were several people at an old mansion, near a swamp &amp; the

the classic R.L. Stevenson novel? I&#39;ve read somewhere that Spencer Tracy was heavily criticized when this film came out, mainly because of his portrayal of
Mister Hyde, which critics and audiences found to not be scary enough.
