Hi Guys,

Thought you might be interested to learn that as of this past weekend here in Chicago, during both the 9pm Svengoolie broadcast, as well as it's 1am repeat on sister station, the program was airing a short animated slide/bumper announcing that Svengoolie won the Rondo Award fyi!

Some some recognition of the stature of the award here in Chicago fyi. Thought you might like to know!

Quite a whirlwind for Mr. Hatton lately.

Besides the too-numerous-to-mention links and website mentions, I've been interviewed on Cult radio a Go-Go, appeared on Monster Madhouse Live with Karlos Borloff and just spent an enjoyable 30 minutes on Spooky Southcoast on WBSM from Massachusetts.

All about the awrds, of course. Great fun!

Bill Stromberg, Anna Bonn and myself just received our RONDO AWARD for the Bernard Herrmann rerecording of MYSTERIOUS ISLAND. What a wonderful way to start out the New Year. This was mentioned shortly after the last Rondos and should likely be brought up again. What about Blogs having their own category rather than joining best website, as they are very different entities like best book and best magazine.

This year's Rondo Ceremony at Wonderfest was two hours of, well, wonder. There were monsters in full make-up, genre icons, video tributes, moments of emotion and lots of laughter. It was truly amazing how far some people came -- winners came from California and Massachusetts to Louisville -- and how seriously everyone took the event.

I can't thank everyone enough, and especially the Wonderfest leadership of Dave Hodges, Dave Conover and Donnie Waddell, who were so gracious...
