I just spotted on a book search site - THE HAMMER CHRONICLES by peter osterried. Anyone out there have this book? I was wondering if the book includes photos and/or posters - or only german text. I might want to add this to my collection! thanks

Hello,

I remember reading somewhere that the puppets used in the US satirical TV show 'D.C. Follies' were sold at an auction.
I was wondering whether anyone could tell me where I could find some images of them being sold.
I did retrieve some images from the Internet a while ago, but I've unfortunately lost them and forgotten where I found them.

Any help would be appreciated.

I just got an Ansco print of Monogram's 16 FATHOMS DEEP, made in 1948 on Location in Tarpon Springs, Fl. Chaney plays "Mr. Dimitri" the local bully who has the sponge market cornered. Lon looked like he just walked off the set of THE WOLF MAN. In fact, it looks like he's wearing the same suit that he wore at the beginning of that picture. Aside from a few years, Chaney looked great and the film is a nice little adventure (with Lloyd Bridges and Arthur Lake).

I'm curious to see where the board falls on this fan debate that I've been hearing all sides of for years in real life.

Alien or Aliens. Which one is better?

Put me in the Alien camp. It's scary, well thought out. Lots of fun. It's a film I can watch over and over again. I like Aliens pretty well, but to me it's not as interesting on repeat viewings, and it's not a patch on Alien.

Don't you love cleaning and liquidating?

I've been spending a good chunk of this weekend (between checking CHFB) cleaning up my "Movie Room", which means finding old things buried that I had misplaced and thought I'd lost; labeling stray DVD-R blanks in cases without labels, and putting DVDs away alphabetically that I took out to watch and which are now out of sequence on my bookcase shelves. Also throwing out old VHS tapes which have been upgraded to DVDs. Of course, along the way I can't tell you how much...

This isn't a thread about SHOCK WAVES, since I'm sure it has one already in the 70's folder. But I would like to know what other films there are that fall into this category? I remember one other that I watched with my sister maybe 20 years ago. The film could have been 70's or 80s. But it was set in Europe I believe, and in the winter. And these undead nazi soldiers were all about. Any thoughts on what this film is, and what others I should see?

For the past 3 days or so I've been having long delays when I try to quote someone or edit my own post. Eventually the box pops up, but it takes an unusually long time. Since this is only happening for me here and not on other forums, I was wondering if anyone else has had simlar troubles?
